Hi friends! Many of you have been asking about the book I’ve been reading and sharing on my stories. It is titled Rules of Love by Richard Templar and I’d just like to share a Rule that I find very applicable.

You can’t make someone love you. That seems like a “duh” when you first read it, but then why do some people destroy themselves trying to make someone else love them? Some try to change, turn into another person, all so they will be given one chance. Funny thing is, it never works. You can beat yourself up and blame yourself for every single thing that happens but it still won’t make them love you. Because they can’t. Love just doesn’t work that way.

I’ve tried to turn into (my opinion of) someone else’s ideal partner once and I hated what I’d become. Insecure, always over-thinking, unconfident. That is something I never want to experience again. If you are going through such a phase, please trust that you deserve someone’s fullest love and attention. Maybe it’s hard for you to let go now, but when the right person comes along, you’ll look back and thank yourself for making such a courageous decision... and that’s exactly how I feel now ☺️
